Leeds City Art Gallery 10.30 Illustrated talk by John Jones
“Relief printmaking – Studio Practise”
John was a founder member of the Crescent Arts Workshop in Scarborough. He has exhibited extensively and has work in a touring exhibition ‘Small print – Big Impression’. He will be bringing examples of his work showing the different stages of printmaking.

Leeds City Art Gallery 10.30 Illustrated talk by Christopher Wood
Christopher studied in Leeds before graduating from Chelsea College of Art in 1986 with an MA in Fine Art. He has exhibited widely and has work in numerous public and private collections. He now works from a studiom in North Leeds and is an associate lecturer at York College of Art. He will be talking about his own work and will show examples of his oil paintings and etchings.

Leeds City Art Gallery 10.30 Illustrated talk by Tony Chisholm
Tony has been a teacher and lecturer in art education for thirty five years, working in schools,colleges and other settings.
His art work and images are constructed through drawing, painting and collage, often using recycled and found materials. He exhibits widely and his most recent exhibition’Marking Time’ was held at the Bradford Gallery/Yorkshire Craft Centre in September 2007.

Amanda is a member of the curatorial team at Leeds City Art gallery. She acted as curator for the show ‘Ladies Day’ and will give an extended talk on this theme in Gallery 15.

Leeds City Art Gallery 10.30 Illustrated talk and demonstration by Keith Mountain
Keith’s starting point for his work is the natural world. He paints, draws and collects objects from the landscape which he later develops into a series of works. He has recently become interested in stone carving and will bring examples of this new departure.

Leeds City Art Gallery 10.30 Illustrated talk by Tony Chisholm.
Tony has been an advisor for the National Campaign for Drawing for over seven years and will be showing examples of the work being done across the UK in a wide variety of venues.

Swarthmore Centre 10.00 Drawing Day
A day of life drawing at the Swarthmore Centre, Woodhouse Square, Leeds. The day starts with rwo short poses followed by an agreed pose for the rest of the day. Tables,easels,chairs and water are available in the art studio. Please bring other equipment as required. Café open for snacks and drinks. A small charge to cover expenses will be made.
